Nurse fined for attacking police as they helped man outside Belfast nightclub

A nurse was fined today for attacking police as they tried to help a man lying unconscious outside a Belfast nightclub.
Defence solicitor Stephen Cassidy told the court Kinghan had never been in trouble before.
She has worked in the care sector for years, including spells as a nurse, the court heard.
Mr Cassidy said: “She was drunk, misguided and trying to explain to police she was wishing to assist the gentleman unconscious on the pavement.”
